Created as part of the series A Void, Now Filled by Rubes Prattley-Jones, this ceramic sculpture explores textures sourced directly from nature. It was exhibited at the end of a 2025 residency at Auckland Studio Potters.
Made on the grounds of Auckland Studio Potters by pressing soft clay directly onto volcanic rock. This piece was fired in a gas kiln, causing the soil caught on the surface to melt and merge with the glaze.
